This view stretches 90 degrees from side-to-side. That means you are seeing one-quarter of the horizon. You can see to an altitude of 60 degrees. So when the Sun or Moon is high in the sky in the Sky View, you will not be able to see them in this view.
This view is a good place to watch a solar eclipse, during which the Moon will pass in front of the Sun.
